Random Musings

Some days are quieter than others. . . . Sitting here today, I found myself reflecting on the journey so far.

KC turns 7 this year. My full-time freelancing journey steps into its 12th year. If I count the part-time gigs before that, it makes 16. And if I trace it back to where it all began, I’ve been working for 24 years now. Writing has been a constant all through these years. The forms, the length, and the shapes have changed.

This workspace has been my constant companion through it all—a silent witness to dreams written, deadlines met, and battles fought. Over the years, it has changed with me—additions, removals, rearrangements—yet one thing has never changed: the feeling I get every time I walk into this space. The moment I sit in this chair, fingers poised on the keyboard, something clicks. It’s more than work; it’s home, it’s purpose, it’s a reminder of how far I’ve come and how much further I want to go. Not every day is perfect.

Some days, the words don’t flow, the doubts creep in, and the weight of the journey feels heavier than usual. But even on those days, this space grounds me, whispers of the dreams that started it all, and promises that the story—my story—is still unfolding.

Here's to 24 years, and to the road ahead. 💛
