That day was perhaps the last time I was seeing her. My heart cried, winced in pain and tried holding on to her tightly. But I knew I had to let her go, if not for anyone else but for myself. I had read somewhere you need to let go of old memories for new ones to be build. Those words suddenly came alive in that moment as I tried letting go of an older me to let a newer me build. Wiping my tears I saw myself in the mirror and met myself, a stronger and a better me.
