Random Thoughts on Friendship

Sadly yes! But then it is weird to see some of your friends look like complete strangers to you.

Source: Quotes for you Page on Facebook

Those very people who called you their 3 AM friends, are now letting you know about their lives through Facebook and twitter.

Those people who had promised to be by you come whatever are at this moment not even remotely aware about the storms you are facing in life.

Those people who stood next to you and clicked selfies tagged as BFFs are today expecting you to like their new selfies with new friends.

Those people who once said "anything for you" are today treating you like nothing. Worst is you don't know what went wrong. "Drifted away" is the perhaps the closest you can get to describing what happened. Such is life!

  1. Yes, such is life! Someone closest to you fail to understand the pain you're going through. I hear this term 3 am friend often but strangely I don't have one. I hesitate to disturb 'anyone' @ odd hours (Yeah, I have sent messages to you @ odd hours, and I absolutely don't mind if you do it to me:)).

It feels bad to see good friends drift apart but people who are too busy for you, deserve to be ignored. I am still learning this...

    Stay happy always...

    1. Ha ha ha Tarang same here! I also don't do that. This post was triggered by some actions of a very specific person who for me was more of a friend but the way it was portrayed it felt as if I was much more than that for her. And then just like that it all vanished. So I was baffled and tried to understand what went wrong and how.

I am also learning the art of detachment and practicing it too. Painful at first, it feels good to be at peace in the end.

  2. So very sad and so very true. I've tried to look at these "friends" as having been in our lives for a temporary purpose and were never meant to stay in the first place.
    Blessings, Privy!

    1. Maybe you are right Martha they do come with a temporary purpose and it is that purpose of theirs that I am looking at!

  3. So true! This happens with all of us. In such times, I feel that attachment to anyone can hurt us so much. Staying detached is way better.

  4. I read on another blog how someone has painfully said good bye to few friends. I guess, we need to go with the flow and let time heal. If they leave you, may be they are not worth your friendship!!
    Keep faith
