The magic of “Friendship” - 2

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.” – Anais Nin
Somewhere at some point in life, we all need someone with whom we can be ourselves. Share our deepest, darkest secrets, lives, thoughts, fears, dreams, hopes, aspirations, frustrations, happiness and pain. Friends lend us that patient ear and a dependable shoulder. Not having a confidant in our life is like being at the mercy of life – standing all alone to face any troubles that life has got to offer.
We tend to spend most of our time with our “friends”. They can vary from being a college class mate to a colleague, an acquaintance to a best friend. In the process of spending time together while at work or otherwise we tend to share a part of our lives with each other, creating beautiful memories which last a lifetime. Memories full of laughter, fun, frolic, tears, silly jokes, giggles, colourful dreams and gullible secrets.
Friendship is a living thing that lasts only as long as it is nourished with kindness, empathy and understanding.” -  Author Unknown
Trust is the strongest base on which a friendship can be developed on. A genuine friendship supports during times of struggle, encourages during testing times and forgives incase of any mistakes. The trust and love has to be unconditional. Understanding the true value of a friend and being a true friend is a blessing because friendship is one of those things we tend to take for granted for many times in life. A friendship formed truly from one heart to another forms a link to our souls which can never be broken.
Some people seem to have hordes of friends while some prefer to have very few selected close knit circle of friends because they feel its better to have a few genuine friends rather than having many superficial ones. Friendship is more about trust and loyalty and not about the number of friends. It’s a beautiful gift of faith that two people give each other.
May you always be surrounded with such wonderful friends and may He bless you by making you one such friend for others!!
