Passing through the clutches of time,
reaching a crescendo of their own;
I hold onto them tightly
To see what I have sown.
Walking through the realms of my mind,
Seeing all that I have known.
Holding moments tightly in my tiny fists,
I breathe life in them from some of my own.
Laughing, crying, living and dying,
They hold a part of me somewhere deeply sown
For memories are the seeds
from which beautiful trees of love and hope have grown.
